Emmanuel Panwum, BA, MA , MPhil* (Ghana) – Board Member, Educational Advisor

He holds Master of Arts (MA) Development Studies from the prestigious University of Ghana, Legon (2008). He is currently studying Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) Social Studies Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). Prior to that, Emmanuel graduated with Bachelor of Arts (BA) Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon (First class, 2003).

Currently, Emmanuel is the District Director of Education at Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District in the Central Region of Ghana. Prior to that, he served as the Head of Planning & Statistics at the Effutu Municipal Office that was after he was promoted from Deputy Director in charge of Planning at the same office. Before occupying this role, he served as the Training/Staff Development Officer at the Effutu Municipal Education Directorate, a position he held for over 6 years.

Starting his career as a professional teacher, he was trained at the Teachers’ Training College, Pusiga-Bawku and later upgraded with Certificate ‘A’ with a 3-Year Post-School Teacher’s Certificate, Gbewaa (1998) and then G.C.E Advanced Level Certificate (1998). Emmanuel has won several awards in his professional career including Best Professional Worker Award from the Effutu Municipal Education Directorate (2014/2015).

Emmanuel joins the board with over three decades of consistent career in teaching and education therefore assisting with all our educational programs design and national advocacy around same.
