Delight J. Agboada, BA, MPhil, MPhil, MA, PhDc (USA) – Board Member, Development Communication Advisor

She is currently a doctoral candidate studying Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Public Relations & Strategic Communication at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland (USA). Prior to that, she studied Master of Arts (MA), Communication and Development Studies, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio (USA). Delight had earlier graduated from studying Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Communication and Media Studies, from the University of Education, Winneba (Ghana). With a strong flair in Ewe language and love for her language, she studied Bachelor of Arts (BA), Ewe Education from the University of Education Winneba (Ghana).

Delight’s research interests stem from an intersection of health, communication, development, media, and gender. Specifically, she explores the ways through which communication and media can be used to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals in underserved areas. She possesses in-depth knowledge in both practical and theoretical development issues and is passionate about the various ways the lives of the underserved population can be improved.

She is very passionate and loves what we do at Youth Rise International (YoRI) with passion. It’s such a rare privilege to have her serve on our Board.
