She obtained Her Master’s degree in Public Policy, specialization on Social Policy from The Australian National University (ANU) (2016). Prior to that, she had a Graduate Diploma of Policy and Governance, Australian National University (2015) which was after her Bachelor of Social Science of Communication and Broadcasting, Islamic State University, Indonesia (2009). She is currently the Program Manager of The PRAKARSA (Indonesia) and Co-founder & Commissioner of SRI Institute (Indonesia).
Much of her current works as a Program Manager of The Prakarsa explore policy insight at the interface of Fiscal Policy, Social Policy and Sustainable Development. I have lead a number of research since 2012 until now and have a wide range of research interest and experience include social policy, gender equity, health, employment, tax and fiscal justice and sustainable development.
Herni has published a number of articles, policy briefs, white paper, country reports, and research reports. She is also a Research Associate of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and part of Feminist Network Asia. At present, she is engaging with several national and international coalition such as National Decent Work Coalition, Universal Health Coverage Coalition, and Tax & Fiscal Justice Asia.
With her great experience in women empowerment, equality, feminism and public policy, Herni contributes to our work with international experience from both Indonesia and Australia. It is such an honour to have her served on our Board.
